Contact information not available

Why do I keep seeing links saying that contact information is not available?

In many cases we do have contact information for the person in question, but are prohibited from publishing it on the Internet due to Boy Scouts of America youth protection guidelines. The only time that we may publish the name of a Scout on the internet is if we have the Signed Permission of the Scout's parent.

We have also extended this policy to the adults of the lodge because in this age, privacy is of great concern to many people. Since the lodge website is viewable by everybody in the world with Internet access, we also want to make sure that it is ok with the Scouter before we release any information about them.

I am a member of the lodge and I want to have my contact information available on the web site. What do I do?

If you are 18 years of age or older, you may simply complete a Publication Consent form and return it to the Web-Tech Committee . If you are not yet 18 years old, you must have the consent form completed by a parent or legal guardian.

What contact information do you release?

The exact information that we will release about a person is up to that person to decide. Typically, we only list names and email addresses. Ocassionally we may also include a picture, or perhaps a phone number when necessary.

How do I get in contact with somebody not listed here?

You may call the Council Service Center at (724)837-1630 and ask to speak to the Lodge Staff adviser. He may be able to help you get in contact with the person you are looking for. Or, you may also write to the Lodge Adviser (LodgeAdviser@OA6.org).
